Space Situational Awareness & Collision Avoidance

Motivated by the rapid advancements in space technology and the growing density of space traffic, my research aims to empower satellites with the capability to autonomously navigate the increasingly congested space environment for all active satellites without relying solely on traditional propulsion systems.

The innovative outcomes of this research will pave the way for next-generation autonomous satellite systems by enabling intelligent collision avoidance for all active satellites. This will help protect the shared space environment, which is crucial for the continued availability of vital services, such as weather forecasting, GPS navigation, telecommunications, and scientific observations that benefit all of humanity—today and for generations to come.
